Meet Our Team of Experts

The founders of Adaptive Remodeling Solutions are Rebecca and Blaine Rogers. Combined both have many years of experience working with and improving services for older adults. They specialize in maintaining quality of life for older adults who plan to age in place, within their own homes.

Rebecca’s background in Occupational Therapy and working in various settings with older adults provides her with the expertise and knowledge of the special needs that they have. Rebecca’s experience includes working with a variety of medical conditions that affect older adults: arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, stress fractures caused by osteoporosis, stroke, limited range of motion, as well as general fatigue, stiffness, general pain, and forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s Disease.

One of the primary needs for helping with all of these medical conditions is to remain safe. While there is a variety of adaptive equipment available for anyone to purchase, very few actually understand the best use for this equipment, and the safest ways to install items in the home. Another primary need for the elderly is the desire to remain independent. Many older adults experience a significant loss of sense of purpose, due to well meaning family and friends who want to do things for them, and/or take over some of the tasks that they have done for years.

It is incredibly important for the older adult to retain a sense of purpose, and have the ability to perform tasks independently for as long as possible. By understanding these needs of the older adult, Rebecca has the knowledge to provide the home analysis for each individual, and alert them as to the best ways to remain independent and stay safe in their own homes.

Blaine has the expertise and knowledge in working with the guidelines and regulations for larger home modification projects such as ramps, railings, and widening doorways for wheelchair access. His background also includes experience as a safety supervisor and as a maintenance director of a large assisted living facility. Blaine has been responsible for providing older adults with modifications in their apartments and homes including but not limited to: installing grab bars, hand held showers, extended bath seats, handrails, securing carpeting, providing adequate lighting, lowering cabinets, adjusting closet shelving, and more.

Blaine also has the ability to discuss options with the older adult and work with them on an individual basis to provide them with their specific wants, without settling for sub standard equipment. , Blaine insists on providing the highest standards of installation, as well as ensuring the working environment is safe for anyone in the home.

Together, Rebecca and Blaine have dedicated their lives to making older adults more comfortable and safer in their homes. They are truly professionals with the right solutions.
